Artist’s statement
I want to be a voice of happiness and pain. I do release my feelings in my work, so I create inspiration and awareness about life. I love to combine different media in my work. If cool or weird ideas pop into my mind, I will not hesitate to use them in my paintings.
Kissable Me is about celebration. Yes! We need to celebrate life even in a pandemic. Life is not about waiting for this bad storm to stop. We need to learn how to dance in the rain!
My mask is also about acceptance. It encourages us to accept whatever comes our way. We need to face the future full of hope instead of fear. Hope is the only thing stronger than fear. Let’s believe that the best is yet to come.
So kiss me and celebrate life as always!
About the Artist
Ms. Arciaga lives and works in Seal Beach, California. She received her BFA in Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She is of Japanese and Filipina ancestry. Her primary medium is oil paint, although she works in a range of media to create exciting work inspired by pop, abstract, modern and contemporary influences.
Ms. Arciaga draws on various themes focused on emotion, the feminine image, and the inspiration of the moment. Her ambition is to direct her own art gallery. Recent exhibitions include Las Lagunas Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA.
