Dermis P. León

Ms. Dermis P. León is the founder of The Curatorial Bureau in Berlin. She has been Correspondent of Art Nexus Magazine since 1995, along with several international art publications. Her essays have been included in major anthologies such as Utopias, edited by Richard Noble and Whitechapel Gallery. 

Since 1991, Ms. P. León has curated exhibitions in Latin America (Havana, San Jose, Santiago de Chile), Europe (Berlin, Milan, Madrid, Torino, Stockholm, Pesaro, Gdansk), China (Wuhan, Beijing), Qatar (Doha) and the United States (New York, Los Angeles, Miami).

She has received several prestigious grants and fellowships and is a guest professor at the Hubei Institute of Art in Wuhan, China. She is a member of the IKT (International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art).

Ms. P. León holds a BA in Art History, University of Havana and an MFA in Curatorial Studies from Bard College in New York.
