quintín rivera toro

Quintín Rivera Toro was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Among many other awards, he has received a German DAAD Travel Grant and a New Genres fellowship from the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts. He has completed residencies at the Ox Bow School of Art, SAIC and the University of El Turabo in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.

Rivera Toro holds a Ph.D. from the Universidad Politécnica de Valéncia, Spain; an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design; a BA from the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras; and a BFA from Hunter College in New York. He also attended the Escuela Internacional de Teatro de América Latina y el Caribe and the Transart Institute in Berlin.

He is currently an assistant professor in the Humanities Department of the
University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras.
